I am a resident of Black Mountain as of the last 15 years. I have also lived in Weaverville, Marshall, Swannanoa, and Asheville. My professional history is in the medical field, and upon starting my career in Real Estate I realized that helping people was still a huge priority of mine. As a life long resident of the Asheville area, I can put my insider knowledge to work to find a special property in your neighborhood of choice. I can sell your property and devote the time and effort to support you in any way possible during this exciting time in your life. Also, if you are in the market to buy property, I am very familiar with this area and the surrounding counties. I will be using the newest internet marketing tools to expose your property as well as my communication skills. I can also help buyers find their dream property.
"Emily Welsh was the listing agent for the sale of our house. She did an excellent job. She helped at every stage of the sale from listing, pricing, preparation advice for the house, excellent photographs, coordinating with the agent who sold the house and assistance in followup and the finalizing of the sale. She is an excellent agent and we feel no agent could have done better. We recommend her highly." Ronald L K. -Seller
"I bought my house through Emily Welsh at Keller-Williams in Black Mountain. It was the first time I bought a home on my own and I was nervous. Emily couldn’t have been better about it. She spent time with me to explain the entire process beforehand and then patiently guided me through each step. She was professional, thorough, and she never made me feel the least bit pressured, simply explaining the deadlines along the way. Emily was also very knowledgeable and was easily able to answer all of my questions. Very professional, and personable. Thanks to Emily, I found the perfect home for me and I am loving it! The whole experience was great! I cheerfully and enthusiastically recommend Emily Welsh at Keller-Williams for your real estate adventure!" Ann G. -Buyer
I believe working with a real estate agent should be an affirming and rewarding experience with a person who can truly listen and take action and has a genuine interest in your goals.
I come from 5 generations of North Carolinians.
After attending University in New York and living in California I worked in the areas of education, service, the arts, programming, business, property management and raised a family.
I returned to N.C. over twenty years ago & fell in love with this beautiful area and never left.
My clients tell me they appreciate my clear knowledge of our cultural, financial, and natural resources, familiarity with the area, skillful valuation and negotiation, diligence, humor, hard work, and honesty!
I am honored when anyone asks me for assistance in helping them buy or sell a house, and I usually end up with a new friend. If you are planning to relocate in or out of the area I would be happy to help you with this transition.
One of my main joys in life is being of service to others, respecting the land we are stewards of, and building a caring community.
Born and raised in Florida, I have been a ballerina since the sweet age of 3. The rigors and discipline learned has proven a strong suit for application in both my personal and business lives. I have traveled a vast portion of the globe and gained an enormous strength with working with the public. After decades in the customer service industry, both as a business owner and as an employee, I bring a soft touch and a hard nose to the table when negotiating on behalf of my real estate clients.
My family and I moved to Asheville NC in 1994 in search of a more meaningful life. Using my keen eye for solid investments, I developed a successful business; buying, renovating, and building homes and also enjoyed managing my own network of vacation "cottages". This has given me an extensive knowledge of the Asheville and Black Mountain area and has provided an invaluable experience in the real estate market.
I have an honest commitment to helping others find their dream home that fits their lifestyle and budget, as well as getting a seller’s home sold for just the right price. It is that simple

I have a strong background in customer service and sales. I worked at Starbucks for 8 years. There I learned how to make people enjoy every interaction. From there I went to Cherry Hills Country Club, a private golf club near Denver, CO that has hosted such tournaments as the PGA, US Senior Open and the US Women’s Open. I was the receptionist and first point of contact for members, their guests and outside contractors and vendors. I then got my insurance license and worked for State Farm for more than 10 years. There I refined my sales and service skills. I am now a licensed real estate agent in North Carolina. I look forward to assisting you in making one of the largest transactions of your life.
